Chelsea considering move for Lille star

Chelsea have been linked with another move for a new forward ahead of the January transfer window.

The Blues’ poor performance so far this season has seen them weighing up a possible €60 million winter move to sign Lille’s striker Jonathan David to fix “their problems in front of goal.”

While Chelsea already have Nicolas Jackson, he has proven he can’t score goals like they want especially with the chances he lost vs Nottingham Forest last weekend.

A recent report via Fichajes revealed the Blues have set their focus on Canadian goal machine Jonathan David and are lining up an offer of around €60 million to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

The report added that Chelsea are “confident that this amount” should be enough to lure the promising striker away from French outfit Lille.

David was in top form last season, scoring 24 goals and creating four assists in 37 Ligue 1 appearances, averaging 2.9 shots per game.

Hopefully, he would be able to replicate the same at Chelsea if they are able to sign him.
