Why Arsenal should drop this former Chelsea star from their squad
Former football star Darren Bent has sent a message to Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta on the need to drop Kai Havertz from his squad.
This comes after the Gunners Saturday’s setback against Fulham.
Bukayo Saka scored an equaliser for Arsenal from the penalty spot in the 70th minute and Eddie Nketiah tapped in what was looking like a winning goal before 10 men Fulham managed to get a draw.
A highlight from the match showed Arsenal attacked cohesiveness when Arteta subbed off Havertz in the second half.
And Bent thinks that the German star should be excluded from the Gunners first team ahead of next weekend’s clash against Manchester United.
Bent added that he was surprised Arsenal paid as much as £65 million to Havertz from Chelsea.
According to the former football star, Arteta is having the problem of where to play Havertz.
“At the moment he[Havertz] is a passenger, he’s got no confidence and that’s unfortunate,” he told Sky Sports.
“…I think you need to get Odegaard, Partey and Declan Rice and then work from there.
“The next game, which is against Manchester United, they’re going to have to make changes.”
