Liverpool join race for Chelsea target
Liverpool have created competition for Chelsea as they joined the race to sign Brighton star Moises Caicedo this summer transfer window.
It is no longer news that the Blues had opened discussion with Brighton over the past few weeks in order to sign Caicedo this summer.
There are reports that the Ecuadorian star is one of Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s top transfer targets.
The Blues are in need of a new midfielder ahead of next season after they lost the likes of Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, and Mateo Kovacic this summer.
While Chelsea see Caicedo as the man to handle their midfield, they are, however, yet to agree on a deal with Brighton for his transfer.
The recent report revealed Liverpool are also considering making a move for Caicedo as they could hijack him from Chelsea.
Liverpool’s interest in Caicedo comes after their captain Jordan Henderson and midfielder Fabinho agreed to complete their reported transfers to Saudi Arabia.
