Chelsea player Nathan Baxter, who has never made a senior team appearance for the club has been tipped to leave this summer.

This comes as the Evening Standard reported that Baxter could play in the Champions League next season as he has been told he can leave Stamford Bridge for free.

This comes after the 24-year-old had spent 17 years at Stamford Bridge.

The London-born player spent the 2022/23 and the 2021/22 campaign on loan at Hull City.

However, as it looks Baxter could be playing in the Champions League next season with Maccabi Haifa after the Blues failed to qualify for any European competition, having finished at the 12th spot on the league table.

The Evening Standard reported that Maccabi Haifa have found out about the Chelsea goalie’s Jewish ancestry, which means he would go down as a homegrown player and not take up an overseas slot in their squad.

Aside from Haifa, Reading are said to be interested in Baxter.
