Gallas advises Chelsea on three wings to sign new players

Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has sent a message to the club on three new signings they should complete this summer.

According to Gallas, the Blues’ new permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino will need a striker, midfielder, and centre-back.

Asked who Pochettino should look to build his Chelsea team around next season, Gallas told Genting Casino: “That is a good question. I’m not sure.

“We know that Thiago Silva will be there for one more season. N’Golo Kante has not signed a new contract yet, so it looks like he won’t stay.”

He continued: “I can’t answer that question. There are so many doubts about Chelsea at the moment. For example, who is going to be the striker next season?

“I don’t think Romelu Lukaku will come back. Chelsea need to sign a new striker. They need another experienced centre-back. They need to add a midfielder with experience, a world-class player.

“Yes, they have Enzo Fernandez, but he is not at the top, top level yet, despite winning a World Cup. So I don’t know which players the next manager will be looking to build around.”
