As expected, Chelsea will have to make some new signings again this summer for their incoming permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino.

A report via the Daily Mail revealed Pochettino wants the Blues to sign Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister, Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez when he finally takes over at Stamford Bridge.

It is no longer news that Chelsea have reached an agreement to appoint Pochettino as their next permanent manager, who will take over from interim manager Frank Lampard at the end of the season.

Ahead of the takeover, the report revealed that squad planning for next season is underway, with Pochettino working closely with Chelsea sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.

Pochettino wants the Blues to a new goalkeeper, midfielder and striker this summer.

And the former PSG boss is determined to bring Martinez, Mac Allister and Martinez to Stamford Bridge, which means some players in the affected wings will have to leave this summer.
