Chelsea told to sign this 52-year-old manager
Sky Sports pundit Tim Sherwood has advised Chelsea to make a move for Mauricio Pochettino as their next permanent manager.
While Chelsea don’t have any game this weekend as their next game is set for Wednesday against Brentford, there’s still plenty of drama at the club with off-field decisions.
The Blues are still in a race for a new manager to take over from Frank Lampard who they signed on an interim basis following Graham Potter’s sack.
Among the names that have been linked to Chelsea’s job is Mauricio Pochettino, who was in charge at Tottenham Hotspur for five years.
Pochettino is one of the favourites to get the job at Stamford Bridge, with the Independent claiming that Chelsea have reached the next stage of discussion about him becoming their next manager.
However, Pochettino still needs to beat off competition from Vincent Kompany, among others to get the job.
According to Sherwood, Pochettino is the right man for the job.
