Former Tottenham manager and Chelsea target confesses to missing the EPL
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has confessed to missing the English Premier League (EPL).
Pochettino, who was formerly in charge of the the French club Paris Saint-Germain manager, said that he is open to making a return to England to coach another club in the near future.
The Argentine was one of Chelsea’s targets, but the Blues were concerned about his ability to compete at the highest level before they decided to appoint Graham Potter.
Pochettino was on Manchester United’s list but he snubbed them and they ended up signing Erik ten Hag from Ajax as their new coach instead.
The Argentine was then linked with moves to Aston Villa but former Arsenal manager Unai Emery won the job ahead of him.
“I miss the Premier League,” Pochettino told talkSPORT.
“Why not [return], we are open! I am really open. I love England and I am living between London and Barcelona, but more in London.
“My house, my home… I love to be in England. The Premier League is the best league in the world. It’s so competitive.”
