Potter gives update on Ben Chilwell’s injury

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has given an update on Ben Chilwell ahead of their Premier League clash vs Arsenal this weekend.

Chilwell will miss the game against the Gunners having sustained a hamstring problem in the closing minutes of the Blues Wednesday night’s Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb.

Potter in a pre-match press conference at Cobham on Friday afternoon said Chilwell would go for a scan for the club to ascertain the nature of the injury.

‘Ben is going to go for a scan later this afternoon so we will find out how he is then with an update tomorrow,’ our head coach reported.

‘He feels okay but is obviously aware of the injury and we need to let the swelling settle down and hence the delay with the scan. We’ll know more after that.

‘I wouldn’t say he fears the worst but we all saw the nature of the injury. I can’t say it looks positive but until we get the scan it’s difficult to say.’
