Potter could bring back Lukaku to Stamford Bridge
Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, could welcome back Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge.
This comes as the recent report claimed Potter has taken a decision on the club’s loanee Romelu Lukaku’s future.
Recall that Lukaku completed a loan transfer back to Italian side Inter Milan this summer after a poor form at Chelsea last season.
The Belgian striker, who struggled under former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, is said to want a permanent deal at Inter Milan beyond his season-long loan spell,
However, the loan agreement does not include a buy-out clause or obligation to buy next summer.
While the Blues have already signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Spanish side Barcelona to fill a void in attack, Potter is determined not to close the door on Lukaku’s Chelsea career just yet, according to ESPN.
The reports revealed the former Brighton manager is open to holding talks with the Belgium international in a bid to revive his career, should he be interested in a return to the Blues.
According to the terms of Lukaku’s contract, he remains a Chelsea player until 2026.
