Having failed to sign any new players this summer, Chelsea are said to be all out to complete the signing of Leeds United star Raphinha.

The report revealed the Blues would hold talks for the winger on Thursday as they hope to convince Leeds United into selling him.

Raphinha impressed last season, the playmaker has become a centre of attraction for many European clubs who hope to sign him ahead of next season.

Like Chelsea, Spanish side Barcelona have for a number of months been claimed as the Brazil international’s preferred destination.

However, considering the Catalans’ financial issues, it is uncertain, whether they will be able to complete any move for Raphinha as they can’t afford Leeds United’s asking price.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, however, revealed that Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly will hold discussions with the representative of Raphinha on Thursday in a bid to find a positive resolution.

A viral photo on social media on Wednesday showing Deco, Raphinha’s agent, leaving the offices in Barcelona, suggested Barca may be trying to find a way to facilitate a transfer

We will have to wait to see if Chelsea can pull this through.
