Klopp sends message to Chelsea, says he feels for them

Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp in what appears to be a mockery of the Blues after Saturday’s FA final, which saw they win the Blues on penalty like they did in the Carabao Cup in February said he feels for Chelsea.

The Reds now have a second trophy this season all at the expense of the Blues.

The game ended on a goalless draw at full time despite both sides coming close to finding the net, with Marcos Alonso and Christian Pulisic missing clear chances for Chelsea and Luis Diaz and Andy Robertson missing goals for the Reds.

The penalty shootouts which followed saw Cesar Azpilicueta and Mason Mount missing from the spot while Kostas Tsimikas scored the decisive penalty which saw Liverpool emerge winner in a 6-5 scoreline.

Sadio Mane’s penalty shoot was denied by his Senegal teammate Edouard Mendy.

The latest win means Liverpool are on their way to winning a quadruple this season

“Then in the penalty shootout, it was nerve-racking, my nails are gone but I really feel for Chelsea – for the second time, 120 minutes and you get nothing, that’s too hard. But for us I’m pretty happy,” Klopp told the BBC.

“We are mentality monsters but there were mentality monsters in blue as well – it was one penalty. Chelsea played outstanding but in the end there must be one winner and that was us today.”
