Why Ronaldo no longer has any reason to remain at Old Trafford
Former Manchester United striker, Dion Dublin, has hinted that Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way out of Old Trafford.
Dublin said there was no longer any reason the Portugal international would decide to remain at the club after this season.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus star has been the Red Devils’ main man this season as they continue to struggle till the end of the season.
So far, Ronaldo has scored nine of his side’s last 13 goals having hit 24 in all competitions this season.
Ronaldo still has one year left on his deal with the Red Devils, but despite his efforts, the club has failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League and this has put his future in doubt.
“I don’t know where Ronaldo goes from here,” Dublin told Sky Sports.
“Does he go back to Italy or Spain? I don’t know where he goes. I find it hard to see him staying at United unless something is done incredibly quickly.
“I think United will be lost without him…But I don’t know why he’d stay to be honest with you.
“Unless the new manager says right £300 million, these players are coming in, please stay. Otherwise I think he’s gone.”
