Chelsea reportedly considering this 33-year-old striker as a replacement for Lukaku

The latest report has claimed that Chelsea are planning to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayer Munich as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

This comes as Lukaku, who recently got his place back in the starting lineup, has been struggling for form in front of the goal.

So far, in his last 18 appearances for the Blues, Lukaku has scored just three times; he has also not scored a single goal since his controversial interview with Sky Italia last month.

A report via football.london claims that Chelsea may consider signing Lewandowski as his replacement in the coming summer transfer window.

The report claims that the 33-year-old striker could be put up for sale by Bayern Munich if he fails to agree to news terms at the club.

Lewandowski will see his current deal expire in June 2023, though the Bundesliga giants have already offered him a two-year extension.

The Poland international won the Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year and has already scored 34 goals in 27 appearances this season.

Aside from Chelsea, Lewandowski has also been linked with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid.

It will come as a surprise if the Blues sign Lewandowski in the summer, especially as they don’t sign a player of his age.
