Man City reportedly keeping tabs on Rudiger

The latest reports have claimed that Man City are keeping tabs on Chelsea’s defender and Germany international Antonio Rudiger.

It is no longer news that Rudiger is in his last months at Stamford Bridge as his current contract will lapse at the end of this season.

As of now, the German defender is yet to reach a new agreement with the Blues and has been linked with moves to Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, via the Manchester Evening News, Man City are also monitoring the German defender ahead of a potential approach to sign him as a free agent.

It is, however, unlikely that Rudiger would consider a move to Man City as earlier reports revealed that should he decide against extending his contract at Stamford Bridge, then a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu is believed to be his preference.

Rudiger remains a key figure in Thomas Tuchel’s side this season and recently scored the only goal in Chelsea’s 1-0 win vs Tottenham Spurs in their EFL Cup semi-final second leg on Wednesday night.
