Chelsea legend tips Lewandowski to play in the EPL
Chelsea legend John Terry has tipped Bayern Munich striker and Poland international Robert Lewandowski to play in the English Premier League someday.
Terry, who seems to be a big fan of the Bayern striker, uploaded a video on his Instagram story about Lewandowski scoring one of his two goals for Bayern Munich against Stuttgart on Tuesday night.
The game against Stuttgart saw Bayern Munich score five goals which confirmed their domination of the German Bundesliga.
Terry, a former England defender, captioned the clip, “I would love to see this man in the Premier League.”
His statement comes after Chelsea reportedly tried to tempt Lewandowski to Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window. At the same time, journalist Ian McGarry has said that the player’s agent has offered his services to Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia in the past.
“It is certainly the case that he (Zahavi) has offered Lewandowski to Chelsea and Granovskaia,” McGarry had said.
Lewandowski has been in top form this season, scoring 29 goals in 24 matches for Bayern.
If Chelsea were to sign him, then one of Timo Werner or Romelu Lukaku would leave the club.
