Man Utd considering swapping Cavani for this player

Since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford, Man Utd striker and Uruguay International Edison Cavani have seen his game time reduce massively.

This comes as Cavani has been relegated to the bench, and there are now indications that Man Utd are considering swapping him for another player.

The reports via MEN revealed that Man Utd are preparing to offer Cavani in order to sign French international Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

Recall that Marca, a few days ago, had reportedly claimed that the Old Trafford outfit have revived their interest to sign the central defender, but Sevilla are not willing to negotiate in the winter transfer window.

The report claimed that the 23-year-old is protected by a massive clause of 80 million euros (£68.2million) and Sevilla believe that no side will activate the clause to get the signing done in January.

Man Utd want Kounde to help strengthen their defence; this is because despite signing Raphael Varane in the summer, their defensive line is still weak. Their captain and defender, Harry Maguire’s current form, is also a concern.
