Why Man Utd are struggling

Former Liverpool player, Danny Murphy in a recent statement, has shared his opinion on why Man Utd are struggling to perform in the EPL this season.

According to Murphy, he stressed that Manchester United are currently struggling because their manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is trying to play Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes in one team.

Murphy stated that to get the bet out of the three players, the rest of the Red Devils squad need to be workaholics.

This comes after the Red Devils weekend defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium with the game ending in a 4-2 scoreline.

“I said this a year ago – Pogba and Fernandes in the same team doesn’t work unless you have got eight others who are workaholics,” Murphy told talkSPORT.

“You throw Ronaldo in the mix, in effect, you’re carrying three, aren’t you.

“It’s fine to carry three attacking players if the rest of them know what they are doing behind them.”

Man Utd are currently seated outside the top four on the log table with five points away from Chelsea, who are the league toppers.
