Former Chelsea manager takes decision on Newcastle Utd job

Former Chelsea coach and Italy international Antonio Conte has reportedly taken a decision on the job linking him to Newcastle United.

Since Conte left his job at Inter Milan, he has been linked with transfer moves back to the Premier League.

Following the takeover of Newcastle Utd by new owners backed by a Saudi Arabian consortium, Conte was named among the coaches that could take over the reign of the club next season.

This is because the current Magpies boss, Steve Bruce, is expected to be sacked as a new era starts at St James Park.

The report has, however, claimed that Conte is not keen on the Newcastle job, as he wants to manage a side that has a chance of immediate success.

Newcastle United are currently facing the threat of relegation as they are 19th on the log table.

Although Conte would have untold resources at his disposal, it would take a lot of time before he would be able to build his squad and land any silverware.
