Chelsea have reportedly pulled out of the deal to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla this summer after the Spanish giant raise their price tag by £13million.

Jules Kounde has been linked with a move to Chelsea for majority of the summer but the blues have not been able to struck a deal with Sevilla.

Kounde’s release clause is set at £68.5m and Sevilla are reportedly willing to let go of the Frenchman only if they can earn close to that fee.

Though reports claimed Chelsea and Sevilla have agreed a £43m fee for the centre-back, the Spanish club have changed their mind.

According to the Athletic, Sevilla want an extra £13m for the Frenchman who was not part of the team that played Elche last weekend.

Chelsea have already sold Kurt Zouma to London rivals West Ham for £29.8m and are set to use his transfer fee in funding Kounde’s move.

Kounde featured at Euro 2020 for France but was not in the first team however Thomas Tuchel believes he can play a part in his team.
