Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally revealed why Jadon Sancho is yet to make his starting lineup after two matches.

Jadon Sancho joined Manchester United this summer from Borussia Dortmund but the England international has been forced to start his first two matches from the bench.

With the likes of Chelsea giving Romelu Lukaku a start in their first match for the club, eyebrows has been raised on why Sancho is being used from the bench.

However, speaking with a publication from his native Norway, Dagbladet, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed why Sancho has not been considered for a place in the lineup.

According to Solskjaer, there is so much fans should know as it was no secret that Sancho was ill and when he was about to join United, he lost the first week.

Solskjaer stated that Sancho was pretty bad, and not close to being in shape to start a Premier League match against Leeds, which is an extreme task in itself with the fitness they have.

The Norway tactician noted that United followed Sancho all the time after the deal didn’t come off last year, ten it became too expensive, but they did not lose interest.

Solskjaer added that Sancho gained a year of extra experience, United became a better team during that year, and the price was better for the Red Devils.

Sancho will be eager to be on Solskjaer’s first team when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.
