Premier League side, Liverpool are reportedly waiting for some departure in the squad before making a move on signing a new player this summer.

The reds have been quiet in the transfer window as they’ve added just a player to their squad, Ibrahima Konate.

Konate’s deal was completed earlier in the summer and the reds are yet to replace Georginio Wijnaldum who left the club for a new adventure at Paris Saint-Germain.

Though Liverpool have been linked with a move for the likes of Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma and Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid, no deal has been confirmed.

The reds have been parting away with some of their youngsters with the likes of Harry Wilson, Taiwo Awoniyi and Marko Grujic shipped out in a bid to raise fund.

New report from Liverpool Echo has now claimed that the reds are looking to offload
Xherdan Shaqiri before making any move in the transfer window.

Shaqiri is expected join Lyon in France as the French side are ready to offer an improved deal for the Swiss international, who made just 14 appearances in the Premier League last season.

If Shaqiri is sold, Liverpool will have the chance of forcing their way into the transfer window to sign new players.
