Arsenal suffers huge blow in the pursuit of experience Serie A forward

Premier League side, Arsenal are still busy in the summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta’s mission to rebuild the team.

Arsenal are on the verge of completing a deal for their two biggest summer target in Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard but they’ve been dealt with a huge blow in the pursuit of Lautaro Martinez.

Martinez has been linked with a move out of Inter Milan this summer with Arsenal one of the clubs eager to add him to their squad.

However, a new report from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed the Argentina forward is on the verge of signing a contract extension with Inter Milan.

Romelu Lukaku’s move to Chelsea had earlier given Arsenal and other clubs interested in Martinez hope of signing him this summer.

Inter Milan’s financial problems have also been identified as a huge factor that might lead to the Argentine forward leaving Seria A this summer.

However, it seems Inter Milan’s new manager Simone Inzaghi has been able to convince Martinez who will now play a huge role in the squad this season.

Martinez extension will surely come as a good news for Inter Milan fans who are still lamenting about the move of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea.
