Transfer fee for Manchester United’s top target revealed

Manchester United are still active in the transfer window as they have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez.

The reds have completed the signature of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for the transfer of Raphael Varane.

Their spending spree is now set to continue as their top target in midfield, Saul Niguez, will be available for a fee of around €40m (£35m) this summer.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Saul Niguez will be available at that price with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking to strengthen his midfield during this transfer window.

Speaking with United Stand, Romano stated that Manchester United are among the clubs that have been in contact with Saul Niguez’s agent.

He stated that they have an interest in the player and consider him one of the biggest opportunities on the market.

Romano added that €40-45m will get a deal done, but no bid has been submitted by Manchester United.

Saul played 33 times for Atletico in La Liga last season, as they won their first Spanish title since 2014, scoring two goals and provided one assist for Diego Simeone’s side.
