Reports: Newcastle United now favorites to sign out of favour Chelsea star

Chelsea are willing to inject new players into their squad, a move that mean some players will have to leave this summer.

One of the players destined to leave Chelsea this summer is Ross Barkley who has failed to play a huge role in the club ever since he was signed from Everton.

Ross Barkley was shipped out to Aston Villa last season and the England international proved his worth under Dean Smith.

However, he was not signed permanently and some clubs in the Premier League are willing to add his experience that their squad next season.

Newcastle has now emerged as the favourite with Steve Bruce willing to have the England international in his squad.

The Magpies have failed to agree a deal with Arsenal for their youngster Joe Willock, who was excellent on loan last season and are now believe to be looking for a replacement.

Accordimg to Northern Echo, Newcastle are now favourites with the boomakers to sign Barkley this summer.

Though Chelsea value Barkley at a fee of over £17million, Newcastle United might be willing to settle down for a loan move rather than a permanent deal.

Barkley’s contract with Chelsea will expire in 2023 and the blues will be willing to make some profit out of his sales rather than let him go for free.
