Chelsea ready to use Ruben Loftus-Cheek in a swoop deal for Inter Milan winger
Chelsea are supposedly able to include Ruben Loftus-Cheek as part of a move for Inter Milan right-back Achraf Hakimi.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has struggled to become a regular fixture in the Chelsea side over the past few seasons, and he has spent time on loan at Fulham last season as Scott Parker’s men endured a swift relegation back to the Championship after one season.
The Englishman enjoyed regular game time at Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri in the 2018-19 season, however, and the Italian apparently wants to reunite with the midfielder at his new club Lazio.
Nonetheless, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Loftus-Cheek could rather be part of player plus cash deal for Inter Milan’s Hakimi, as the Serie A Champions refuse to compromise for the Moroccan.
Chelsea are believed to contend with Paris Saint-Germain for Hakimi’s services, however the Blues are purportedly gaining ground in their endeavors to sign the ex-Real Madrid man, regardless of Les Parisiens’ interest.
Loftus-Cheek’s current Chelsea deal terminates in 2024, and he has scored 12 goals 11 assists in 82 appearances for the club across all competitions.
