How Arsenal win over Chelsea has created more competition in the top four

Arsenal on Wednesday night defeated the Blues right at  Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

The Gunners won the game by 1 goal to nothing following an error from Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho.

While Chelsea were looking dangerous in their last few matches and were among the favourites to finish in the top four for this season, however, their recent loss to Arsenal have created a setback and what can be described competition for a spot in the remaining two spots in the top four on Premier League table.

The likes of West Ham, Liverpool and Leicester, who are vying for the last two positions for Champions League football next season now have some chances of making it as Manchester City and Manchester United have secured the first two spots.

Liverpool will be making a trip to United on Thursday night with two outstanding games left to play. If the Reds win both, they will be only three points behind Chelsea with two fixtures left.

Leicester remain two points ahead of Tuchel’s men having played the same number of fixtures, while West Ham are in fifth place with one outstanding game.

It is a dangerous position to be for Chelsea and anything can happen with the remaining few games left.
