UCL Final: We are capable of beating them – Tuchel says after EPL win vs Man City

Thomas Tuchel led his men to another win in the Premier League after they defeated league toppers, Man City right at their home in Etihad stadium.

The game ended on a 2-1 scoreline which further delays Man City from being declared the winner in the Premier League this season.

Raheem Sterling gave Man City the lead in the first half. However, Hakim Ziyech and Marcos Alonso sealed victory for Tuchel’s men in the second half as the Blues won all three points.

The two Premier League clubs will meet again on May 29 in Istanbul, Turkey for the UCL final.

With Chelsea having won the last two encounters between the teams, it looks like the Blues have a clear advantage ahead of Man City and seems to know their weakness.

Speaking about the importance of the match result, Tuchel told Sky Sports: “It gives us confidence because it’s all about the performance.”

He added that the result won’t change much as the Champions League final is a very unique game as one can’t predict what will happen.

”We arrive with the knowledge that we are capable of beating them, that’s what we have now and this won’t change much to Istanbul,” he said.
