Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has finally responded to speculations linking the club with Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero.

Sergio Aguero, some days ago announced that he will be leaving Manchester City at the end of the season when his current contract expires.

The Argentine forward has spent the last ten years in Manchester City, becoming the club’s all-time highest goalscorer and he has been linked with top clubs in Europe.

Chelsea are reportedly one of the clubs willing to sign him on a free transfer and Tuchel was questioned about the move during his press conference ahead of the match against West Brom.

Speaking with the press, Tuchel stated that it’s the same answer as for Haaland as Chelsea have full respect for Manchester City and for Sergio Aguero, who is a big player for them.

He noted that there are no words needed from him about the achievements of Aguero who is a world-class player.

He added that fans shouldn’t forget that Chelsea competes in three competitions with Manchester City so he will never speak about their players and talk about a player’s future.

According to Tuchel, Aguero is the city’s player and he expects they do the same with Chelsea’s players as they are rivals noting that there are no words needed from him to praise Sergio Aguero’s career.

Despite that Aguero will be leaving City at the end of the season, Tuchel believes he will still help them to achieve their goals, which is a big collision to Chelsea’s goals because they are following the same things.
