Chelsea reportedly submit bid for legendary Premier League striker
Chelsea has become the latest club to be linked with Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero as he approaches the end of his time at the Etihad Stadium.
Sergio Aguero is regarded as one of the best strikers to have ever graced the Premier League and some fans were shocked when he announced the end of his time at City on Monday.
The Argentine on Monday posted a message on social media confirming his departure and thanking fans.
This has sparked a lot of tributes from top players and managers in the league and his next destination has become a subject of speculations in the media.
Aguero has been linked with a host of top clubs in Europe and now Foot Mercato claims Chelsea have joined the list.
According to the report, Paris Saint-Germain is one of five clubs who have already outlined their proposal to Aguero, with the French side making ‘a first offer to the player’.
Foot Mercato noted that Aguero has already received at least 5 [offers], including Inter Milan, Chelsea and Manchester United, in addition to that of PSG.
Though it is understood that the 32-year-old has ‘not yet made his choice’ but that they are chances that he will be moving abroad so as not to face his former club in the league.
Aguero has scored an astonishing 257 goals in 384 appearances for City since joining Atletico Madrid in 2011, winning four Premier League titles, an FA Cup and five League Cups.
