Burnley vs Arsenal: What the Gunners did wrong
Arsenal challenged Burnley on Saturday in what was expected to be an easy win for the Gunners.
However, it looks like everything work against the North London side and stopped them from picking all three points vs. the host.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
However, in a post-match statement, Arsenal/coach, Mikel Arteta has expressed disappoint at his side defeat as he stated that Arsenal gave Burnley hope because they allowed Burnley to score a goal in a situation they trained for.
Chris Wood scored a goal for the host side while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a goal for the Gunners.
“I’m really disappointed with the result, but the reality is that we generated so many big chances but only scored one goal,” Arteta told Arsenal Media.
Arteta believed the referee was not in their favour as well.
He stated that Arsenal started well but should have scored more than one goal to stop Burnley from equalising.
“We gave them hope because we gave them a goal in a situation that we train for, and it can happen, but then we struggled for 20 to 25 minutes in the second half because we played their game, he added.
The Gunners will have to focus on their next match.
