Chelsea are staying in the top four – Owen

While Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel following his side’s recent win vs. Liverpool has said his focus is to win the Premier League title and not just make it to the top four, former football star, Michael Owen seems to have a different opinion.

Chelsea defeated Liverpool right at Anfield thanks to a first-half goal from Mason Mount.

The goal was enough to clinch all three points vs. the Reds and move Chelsea to the top four.

However, according to Owen, the Blues will remain in the top four on the log table for this season.

He stated that the West London club are not conceding goals, and they have kept clean sheets in ten matches but stressed that the Blued is going nowhere.

“You ride the crest of a wave, Chelsea are not going anywhere. They are staying in the top four,” Owen told Premier League Productions.

He added that they are not conceding goals,  kept eight clean sheets in 10 games and have only scored 11 goals.

Owen said ”It is not like they are knocking the lights out.”

He revealed that the Blues are a team that are similarly scoring goals at the same race as the likes of  Crystal Palace and Brighton, ”they are just not conceding, and they don’t look like it.”

Chelsea are now seated at the fourth spot on the log and would face Everton in their next match on Monday.
