Manchester United are supposedly keen on signing Sevilla defender Jules Kounde but are hesitant to pay £68m for the Frenchman.

The Premier league are accepted to have distinguished the youngster as their leading defensive target ahead of this current summer’s transfer window, with the club said to be quick to sign a long term partner for Harry Maguire.

As per report, the Red Devils are intently observing Jules Kounde, who has also been connected with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Nonetheless, Manchester United are hesitant to enact the centre backs’ £68m buy-out fee because of the financial effect of the Covid flare-up.

The 22-year-old, who has a contract at Estadio Ramon until the summer of 2024, has scored multiple times in 33 appearances at club level during the 2020-21 season.

Manchester United are also purportedly still ‘extremely keen on’ signing Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
