Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has shared his opinion on the recent dismissal of Frank Lampard at Chelsea as he noted that it serves as a warning to other 19 managers.

Chelsea announced the sacking of Frank Lampard some hours ago after the English trainer failed to convince top officials at the club with his performance.

Frank Lampard who is a club legend at Chelsea was dismissed after just 18 months, leaving the blues ninth on the Premier League table.

Pep Guardiola who has never been sacked in his glittering career as a manager has now insisted that the act by Chelsea showed that no one is safe.

Speaking to the press, Guardiola stated that young and old managers in the Premier League have to win.

The Spaniard who has worked with Bayern Munich and Barcelona stated that the people talk about projects and ideas but it doesn’t exist, a coach has to win, if not, he will be sacked.

He noted that he respects the decision from Chelsea, of course, but a huge hug for Frank and hopefully he can see him soon.

“When the lockdown will be over I can go to the restaurant to see him again,” he said.

Guardiola added that Lampard was appointed at a team like Chelsea after the good job he had done at Derby County, and he deserves it.

However, the team depend on the results, not the way they play, not about philosophy or this kind of things or the projects.

You have to get results. If you don’t, you will be replaced by another manager and this has played a role in Lampard’s dismissal at Chelsea.
