The January transfer window could see England international and Man Utd star Jesse Lingard finally leave the club on a permanent deal.

Lingard, who had an outstanding time at West Ham last season on loan, returned to Old Trafford during the summer but has failed to make any starts for the Red Devils in the Premier League this season.

Man United could have made some good profits from the sale of Lingard in the summer transfer window, but they priced West Ham out of a permanent move by reportedly demanding £25 million – which was £7m more than the Hammers were willing to pay.

West Ham at that time were willing to pay £18 million for the England international; however, the recent report has suggested that the Red Devils are ready to accept an offer of £10 million for Lingard.

West Ham, led by David Moyes, are likely to return for Lingard in January as he was impressive during his time at the club, scoring nine goals in 16 appearances and helping the Hammers achieve European qualification.

Also, the Red Devils would hope to sell him in January and make some cash off him instead of losing him entirely in the summer when his current deal ends.
