Unlike, Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal, Man City close to sealing deal for 1st summer signing

The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have been busy this summer transfer window with new additions they want in the squad ahead of next season.

These clubs have completed some major signings but same can’t be said for Premier League champions Manchester City who have been on silent this summer.

Recently, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s first summer signing for the Citizens was confirmed.

Popular football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed that Man City are all set to make Brazilian winger Savio their first signing under Guardiola this summer.

Romano made this known in a tweet on his X account on Tuesday.

According to the transfer expert, Savio’s deal will be official this week.

Romano said there are speculations that Manchester City are set to make Sávio deal official this week as first signing of their summer window.

All parties have reportedly reached agreement for the Brazilian winger to join Man City from Troyes, as exclusively revealed in February.

It appears the Citizens will be retaining most of their first team under Guardiola next season, which is part of the season they have been silent this summer.

Recall that the Citizens beat Arsenal to the Premier League title in the last two seasons.
