Thomas Tuchel shares Chelsea’s injury concern ahead of tie against Leeds United
Chelsea prepare to battle Leeds United in a bid to cement their place in the top four, club manager Thomas Tuchel has opened up on his team injury concerns.
Chelsea have been in a thrilling form ever since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as the team are yet to taste defeat in any of their games this season.
The blues put in an impressive performance against Everton on Monday night to continue their good run and things are about to get more intense this week.
Chelsea will be facing Leeds United on Saturday afternoon before tackling Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
However, they will be without Tammy Abraham who is still carrying an ankle injury sustained against Newcastle United last month.
Tuchel confirmed this while speaking with Football. London stated that he’s a bit concerned because the pain from the tackle against Newcastle is still there for Abraham.
The German tactician stated that it’s been a long time since Abraham been 100% free and comfortable in training noting that if he finishes in training, he can see that the England international isn’t 100% free.
Though Tuchel noted that he have complete trust in Chelsea’s medical department to take care of him, Abraham had to leave the pitch during the warm-up yesterday and he will get all the time he needs because it’s important he feels zero pain before thinking about his comeback.
Chelsea currently placed fourth on the table with a two-point lead over West Ham United who have a game in hand.
