Chelsea fans might not be having the opportunity of seeing their former striker Diego Costa wear the shirt of another Premier League team due to his wage demands.

Diego Costa adventure at Atletico Madrid ended some weeks ago when the Spanish club terminated his contract due to personal reasons.

The Spaniard before the termination of his contract has not been having the season he would have hoped for as the arrival of Luis Suarez from Barcelona and his consistent injury has not helped.

The 32-year-old who is now available on a free transfer has been linked with numerous clubs and he has not been short of suitors from the Premier League.

According to The Mirror, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur are two clubs interested in his services but things might not work out due to his wage bill.

The report stated that the forward would want more than £250,000 a week from his next club, and none of Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers will want to cough out such amount of money.

Diego Costa was prolific during his time in the Premier League with Chelsea as he scored 58 times in 120 appearances for the blues between 2014 and 2017.
