Former Chelsea and now Napoli boss Antonio Conte is starting his time with the Naples with a defeat in the Italian Serie A league.

Napoli lost 3-0 to Hellas Verona in their first Serie A match of the season with Chelsea target Victor Osimhen left of the game amid his impending exit from the club.

As of now, the Nigerian forward is expected to leave Napoli before this summer deadline, with Chelsea and French side Paris Saint-Germain determined to sign him.

In their match against Verona, Conte decided not to use the striker as he awaits a reunion with Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

Conte had to take off star midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after he collided with an opposing player before halftime.

The Naples faced more difficulty after the break when Dailon Livramento passed in a cross from close range to give the hosts the lead.

In the 75th minute, Daniel Mosquera got a through ball and calmly slotted it home to give Verona 2 goals lead.

Towards the stoppage time, Verona found the back of the net a third time as Napoli’s defence faltered, allowing Mosquera to tap in a close-range pass and complete his brace.
