Deal Close: Pep Guardiola eager to smash Premier League record to bring in England international
Manchester City are reportedly willing to smash Premier League record transfer fee for a player by signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
The citizens have been linked with Jack Grealish since the transfer window opened, but they’ve not with Aston Villa.
Reports have claimed that Grealish participation at the just-concluded European Championship has disrupted the negotiation process between Aston Villa and Manchester City, but that will change in the coming days.
According to Football Insider, the Manchester City board are preparing a deal worth £90m swoop for the Villa captain who has shown his potential in the past few seasons.
If Manchester City could agree on a deal with Aston Villa, it would become the all-time record for a transfer fee spent by a Premier League club.
Pep Guardiola’s record in his career has also seen Grealish willing to work with the Spaniard as he aims to play Champion league football next season.
Grealish played an essential role for England at the just concluded European Championship ending the tournament with two assists after his six goals and 12 assists from 26 games for Aston Villa last season.
