Back to Stamford Bridge: Chelsea to recall star from Boca Juniors in January

Ahead of the January transfer window, some of Chelsea’s plans have been made public and one of them is recalling Aaron Anselmino from his loan spell with Boca Juniors.

Recall that in August, the west London club committed to a deal reportedly worth £15.6m to sign the prospect from the Argentine giants.

Instead of making an immediate transfer to Stamford Bridge, the 19-year-old star was permitted to remain at his current club for a further 12 months to continue his development.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a recent update disclosed that the Blues have decided to take an earlier look at the defender.

According to the report, Anselmino will return to London before the end of the week to link up with Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Anselmino is expected to spend a number of weeks training at the club’s Cobham training ground before a decision is taken on his future at Chelsea.

The Blues had been previously reported to be open to loaning him to a European club to improve his development.
