Chelsea and Arsenal are set to battle it out for the signature of 18-year-old striker Ali Akman who is currently on fire for his club Bursaspor.

Both London teams have been having a season to forget as Arsenal are just getting back to shape after a slow start to the season while Chelsea are currently going through a tough phase after a good start to the season.

In a bid to revive their season, both clubs have been linked with top players across Europe and they are willing to invest in youths who currently dominate their team.

Ali Akman has now become their target as the 18-year-old has been in great form for the Turkish outfit ever since he burst into the big stage.

He already has nine goals in 16 games this season and Bursaspor are willing to let him go for a reasonable price as he has just six months remaining on his current contract.

According to Daily Mail, Ali Akman is not ready to extend his contract with Bursaspor and wil be available for £3million and Chelsea and Arsenal are not ready to let this slip away.

Ali Akman believes he has what he takes to play at the biggest stage and despite that the likes of Red Bull Salzburg and Galatasaray attempted to strike a deal for the teenager in December, Chelsea and Arsenal are hopeful of a deal.
