Chelsea reportedly battling Leicester City for young Reading midfielder signature

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Reading youngster Michael Olise, a player that has also been linked with Premier League team, Leicester City.

The Blues were the highest spender during the summer transfer window and the Blues are not ready to back out when it comes to signing talented youth players.

Chelsea have been linked with some high profile players ahead of the January transfer window and the London team are now set to battle it out with other top club’s over the signature of Michael Olise.

According to The Sun, Michael Olise who used to be a former youth player at Chelsea has attracted interest from the likes of Leicester City, Liverpool, Manchester City, Leeds United.

With the Reading midfielder having just 18 months left on his contract, Chelsea are paying close attention to his situation as they hope he will be eager to make a return to Stamford Bridge

Michael Olise is a center attacking midfielder blessed with the ability to also play on either flank, owing to his pace and dribbling ability.

The emergence of Mason Mount, Recce James and Callum Hudson-Odoi have given some other youth players confidence about their chances in the Blues senior team.
