Manchester City dealt with big injury blow ahead of Southampton clash
Pep Guardiola has been hit with another big injury blow ahead of his side’s Saturday clash with Southampton as Sergio Aguero misses two days of training.
Manchester City have not started the season in a thrilling fashion as they’ve been dropping points with the last being their draw against Premier League newcomers, West Brom.
As they hope to get back their season on track against Southampton, Sergio Aguero will not be available as the 32-year-old was not present on the field for training sessions earlier this week but did return on Friday for a light session ahead of the weekend.
Guardiola during his said pre-match press conference noted that after the game against West Brom he could not train for two days but was back in training on Friday.
The Spaniard noted that Aguero trained really well but he don’t know how many minutes the Argentine will play against Southampton.
The Argentina international has made only six appearances for the Citizens this season due to an injury problem sustained during October.
Pep Guardiola will be worried about Arguero’s absence with his stand-in, Gabriel Jesus, currently without a goal in his last six games.
Man City will hope to win all three points against Southampton.
