Champions League: Koke speaks on threat possessed by Chelsea ahead of their Champions League clash

Atletico Madrid captain Koke has heaped praise on the Frank Lampard’s Chelsea squad ahead of their  Champions League Round of 16 tie.

Chelsea have been drawn against Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 tie that will also see Barcelona play Paris Saint-Germain while Real Madrid face off against Atalanta.

Speaking to press hours after the draw was revealed, Koke noted that the Champions League round of 16 clash against Chelsea will be decided by the “small details.”

Koke said, in quotes carried by Marca: “These qualifying rounds are always the same; it will be decided by the small details. When you have the chances, you try to score them and defend well. Last year against Liverpool it was those details that decided the tie, hopefully it will be the same against Chelsea.

He stressed the Blues are a great team as they have strengthened very well and are playing very offensive football.

Koke is however hopeful his squad will put up a impressive performance when they come face to face with Chelsea.

Recall that Atletico Madrid were eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the competition last season by RB Leizpig while Chelsea have not won the competition since 2012 when the defeated Bayern Munich.
