Arsenal could start this German midfielder in January

Arsenal under the coach, Mikel Arteta could make an unexpected decision on Germany international, Mesut Ozil in January.

The Gunners may have come to understand that Ozil can play the role of a creative midfielder, an option they have lacked so far this season.

Ozil has been dumped out of the team since the lockdown was lifted and had not made a single appearance for the Gunners even though they needed a player like him.

A report disclosed that Arteta is ready to consider Ozil and could let him join the team in January. This, however, depends on if Ozil doesn’t decide to leave Emirate Stadium in the January transfer window.

“He’s not in the squad right now,” Arteta told the press on Saturday ahead of a Premier League meeting with Burnley on Sunday.

“I’m focusing just on the players we have here.

“But, whatever happens in January, we have some time to decide,” the Gunners coach added.

This is coming after former Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger came to the defence of the Germany international as he stated that he is not difficult to manage.

Arsenal will have to make use of Ozil as an option if they are unable to sign a new midfielder in January.
