Transfer Deals: Manchester United to sell these four players to sign Torres

While Manchester United may have not been all that spectacular in the ongoing campaign, manager Ole Solskjaer may be going to the transfer market soon to sign a new defender.

The Red Devils have a lot of weak sides and one of them is their defence. To correct this, the Red Devils have been linked with moves to Villarreal defender, Pau Torres.

However, the Red Devils will have to battle with Jose Mourinho’s led Tottenham side who are equally interested in him.

Another challenge that seems to be preventing the Red Devils from making a move is his release clause which is over £60million, an amount they are not willing to pay.

There are however reports that the Red Devils are ready to sell four of their defenders which include Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly in other to sign Torres.

The reports further revealed that Bailey, who they signed in 2016 for £30million from Villarreal could be up for an exchange for Torres.

A new defender like Torres at Old Trafford will be a good partner for Harry Maguire at the back.

However, we hope Torres wouldn’t end up becoming another Bailey in the Red Devils squad because the latter has struggled to perform since moving to the EPL.
