Manchester United could find themselves in a fierce transfer battle this summer as Arsenal and Chelsea also step up their interest in Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents following an outstanding 2025/26 campaign that helped Bournemouth secure European qualification for the first time in the club’s history. His impressive performances also earned him a place in England’s pre-World Cup training camp in Florida, further strengthening his growing reputation despite yet to make his senior international debut.

Scott’s development has not gone unnoticed, with several of England’s biggest clubs now monitoring his situation. Manchester United are believed to be long-term admirers, but Chelsea and Arsenal are equally keen to bring the highly-rated midfielder to their squads, setting the stage for what could become one of the summer’s most competitive transfer races.

Liverpool have also been linked with Scott, particularly following the appointment of his former Bournemouth manager, Andoni Iraola. However, the strongest interest currently appears to be coming from United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

According to reports, Bournemouth are preparing to hold discussions over Scott’s future in the coming weeks. While the Cherries are under no immediate pressure to sell, they value the midfielder at around £80 million and are determined not to let one of their key players leave cheaply.

Having made 89 appearances since joining from Bristol City, Scott has established himself as a vital figure at Bournemouth. Whether he remains at the Vitality Stadium or secures a high-profile move this summer, his future is expected to be one of the transfer window’s most closely watched storylines.
