Napoli Close In on Former Arsenal Starlet in Deal Worth Millions to Gunners
Arsenal could receive an unexpected financial boost this summer as former academy graduate Brooke Norton-Cuffy continues to attract interest from some of Italy’s biggest clubs.
The 22-year-old right-back spent more than a decade with Arsenal after joining the club’s academy at the age of 10. Although he never made a senior appearance for the Gunners, Norton-Cuffy developed his reputation through a series of successful loan spells with Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Coventry City and Millwall.
In 2024, the defender completed a permanent move to Genoa, where he has established himself as a regular performer in Serie A over the past two seasons. His impressive displays in Italy, combined with his experience representing England at Under-21 level, have not gone unnoticed.
According to reports from Italy, both Napoli and Fiorentina are keen to sign Norton-Cuffy during the current transfer window. Napoli are believed to be leading the race and are closely monitoring the defender as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
A transfer would also be welcome news for Arsenal, who are understood to have included a sell-on clause when they agreed to his departure. As a result, the North London club could receive a percentage of any future transfer fee should Genoa decide to cash in on the promising full-back.
This is not the first time Norton-Cuffy has been linked with a major move in Italy, having previously attracted interest from Juventus. With his stock continuing to rise, a significant transfer this summer appears increasingly possible.
