Chelsea and Arsenal Monitoring £50m-Rated Defender as Transfer Battle Emerges

Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs considering a move for Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix as the summer transfer window gathers momentum.

Lacroix has enjoyed a remarkable rise since joining Crystal Palace from Wolfsburg in a deal worth around £15 million two years ago. The French defender quickly established himself as a key figure at Selhurst Park, becoming one of the Premier League’s most reliable centre-backs and playing a crucial role in the club’s recent success.

Former Palace manager Oliver Glasner was instrumental in bringing Lacroix to England after previously working with him in Germany. Their partnership proved highly successful, helping Crystal Palace secure major silverware, including the FA Cup, Community Shield and Europa Conference League during a memorable period for the club.
